ThaiHealth, like all other Thai massage studios in Switzerland, has NO health insurance recognition. Thai massage is NOT a recognized treatment method in Switzerland. For this reason, a health insurance provider (basic insurance) is NOT allowed to reimburse Thai massage treatments.
With an existing supplementary insurance, health insurance providers have the option to reimburse non-recognized treatment methods. In such cases, insurers usually require that the treating therapist holds an EMR certification.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to obtain such certification through the standard Thai massage training, even with a recognized diploma. We have tried.
There are a few supplementary health insurance plans that, even without EMR certification, include reimbursement for non-recognized treatment methods, such as Thai massage, in their policy terms.
If this applies to you, please request an orange customer card from us. With this card, you will automatically receive an invoice after your 5th massage, which you can submit to your health insurance provider.
